Arrival Day
Enjoy a four-night stay at Lykke Hotel & Spa Chamonix in a Classic Room with a Balcony, where modern comfort meets alpine charm. Relax in stylish, cozy surroundings, savor local cuisine, and unwind at the spa – all while taking in breathtaking mountain views. The perfect retreat in the heart of Chamonix!
Day 1: Private Panoramic Half-Day Hike in Chamonix
Kick off your adventure in Chamonix with an unforgettable hike through the stunning Mont Blanc region. Follow your expert guide on the Mont Blanc Experience, retracing the steps of Jacques Balmat and Michel Paccard, the first climbers to conquer Mont Blanc on August 7, 1786. Walk alongside the legendary Taconnaz and Bossons glaciers—majestic ice giants steeped in history. If you’re up for it, continue to the “Gîte à Balmat,” a granite shelter where these pioneers once rested. This journey blends history, storytelling, and breathtaking alpine scenery. Lace up your hiking boots and get ready for an epic start to your trip!
Day 2: Visit the Glacier Mer de Glace with your private glaciologist
Today, journey high into the mountains to explore the breathtaking Mer de Glace, France’s largest glacier and the fourth largest in the Alps. Stretching 12 km (7.5 mi) in length and up to 1,950 meters (6,400 ft) in width, this massive ice river reaches depths of 420 meters (1,378 ft).
Meet your expert guide—also a glaciologist—in the heart of Chamonix and board the iconic red Montenvers cogwheel train for a scenic ascent to the glacier. At the summit, take in sweeping views of the Mer de Glace while learning about its formation, evolution, and the challenges it faces as it slowly recedes.
While there, visit the fascinating ice grotto, carved anew each year. Step inside the glacier to discover a glimpse of life in the 19th-century Alps. The grotto is accessible via a 20-minute walk or a gondola ride, followed by a descent of about 580 steps.
After this unforgettable experience, return to Chamonix with your guide and enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.
Day 3: Chamonix at your Leisure
Enjoy your final day in Chamonix at your own pace. Take a thrilling ride up the Aiguille du Midi for panoramic views, book an exclusive helicopter flight for a breathtaking aerial perspective of Mont Blanc, or venture beyond Chamonix on an exciting excursion. If you prefer a more relaxing day, unwind at your hotel and soak in the alpine atmosphere. The choice is yours!
